Exhibition ‘Henri Favre, the 1950s of an advertising designer’.
The 1950s of a publicist-artist! Henri Favre, who began by signing his gouaches under the pseudonyms Longfellow and then Clair, took his place among the admen of that time.
To fully appreciate his talent, we need to place his work in the historical context of the burgeoning consumer society. Henri Favre's ingenuity and artistic creativity mean that some of his advertisements have gone down in advertising history.
Around fifty gouaches take us back to the advertising of the 1950s.
