The association Les Esclops is dedicated to promoting, animating and discovering the heritage of Marcolès.
Our village, which dates back more than a thousand years, boasts a rich architectural heritage that has been harmoniously renovated. The unity of materials, the harmony of volumes and colours, the quality of public spaces and floral displays, and the preservation of medieval and Renaissance architectural elements make a stroll ‘between porches and narrow streets’ a time for discovery and culture, but also for relaxation and simple enjoyment.
The tour, led by volunteer guides, is characterised by historical accuracy, but also humour and conviviality.
Marcolès also boasts a wealth of original, high-quality crafts and expertise: clog-making and blacksmithing from the 1930s, the last clog factory in France, pottery, mead production, gastronomy, and more.
Visits are available all year round for groups by reservation. We offer you the chance to discover our town over a full or half day, with a tailor-made programme that we will put together with you.
